This month we highlight the winners of the competition and give an overview of their businesses.
Priya Lakhani was announced Business Entrepreneur with her business Masala Masala www.masalamasala.co.uk. The award is presented to enterprising individuals who have started their own business, large or small. Having made the change from lawyer to entrepreneur Priya now creates fresh, non-Anglicised Indian cooking sauces and has secured deals with department stores and delis.
Winner of the Social and Environmental category is Kerry Kolbe with
Signal Films which provides would-be and practicing filmmakers, writers
and artists the chance to participate in free creative opportunities.
The category recognises ventures combining the principles of a
successful business with an emphasis on the social and environmental

17 year old Matt Lovett was crowned winner of the Teen category with Wow Media UK, www.wowmedia.eu.
The category was open to anybody aged 13-19 who is making an idea
happen. Since its creation in 2007 Wow Media has created over 10 branded
websites.
Adam Duffy was announced winner of the Creative category with his business Looks Can Kill which offers bespoke, customisable fashion footwear through an online platform. The Creative category recognises enterprising individuals, businesses and endeavors that have shown creative flair. Lucian Tarnowski was crowned winner of the Global category with his business Brave New Talent. www.bravenewtalent.com taps into the world’s social media networks to allow job-hunters to source vacancies and interact with potential employers.
Dean Rhodes-Brandon was announced winner of the People’s Choice Award with Your Local Cinema www.yourlocalcinema.com. The award is presented in memory of Make Your Mark Ambassador Rob Williams. Your Local Cinema is an website and information service designed to help those who are hearing or visually impaired to fully enjoy the cinema experience.
