In operation since 2006, the Academy is a service which delivers learning for effective management of community enterprises and promotes social entrepreneurship. Learning programs will be created and targeted at local residents in the Liverpool area to help create, manage and grow social and community enterprises delivering re-shaped local services.
Objectives of Liverpool Academy for Sustainable Enterprise are to:
• Increase the rate of formation of community and social enterprises
• Improve the survival rate of and sustainability through increased commercial activity
• Provide a more sustainable future for voluntary organisations
• Re-shape and modernise public service delivery

• On-line Experts and Mentoring
Blackburne House, Liverpool Vision and The Eldonian Group Ltd (EGL) have joined in partnership to establish the Academy.
EGL will assist clients with a range of business support solutions from start-up advice, business planning, accessing and applying for funding, development plans and sign posting to specialist agencies.
The LASE website has a useful business resource section which provides information and links to business start-up and business development tools.
