European Commission launches YOUR WORLD, YOUR BUSINESS initiative

Young people are brilliant at championing causes they feel passionately about. Why not harness their passion and enthusiasm for environmental and social awareness and combine it with your enterprise education provision? A new European initiative could help you drive enterprise education forward in your school or college.

The European Commission has launched YOUR WORLD, YOUR BUSINESS a major new initiative which promotes European policy objectives in the areas of corporate social responsibility and entrepreneurship education.

By bringing sustainability and social responsibility to the heart of entrepreneurship education the initiative aims to inspire young people to become the kind of future entrepreneurs society needs.

The initiative is aimed at students aged 16-19 years old and their teachers and has been designed for use in the classroom environment.

The YOUR WORLD, YOUR BUSINESS videos provide an insight into why three young entrepreneurs from across Europe are passionate about social and environmental issues, what motivates them and how they address them.  

The accompanying teachers guide provides useful hints and tips on how to create two lessons plans around the videos themes. 

The videos and teacher’s guide are available in 24 different languages and are available to download from the European Commission website. Alternatively hard copies are available to order with free postage by completing an online form.
