Spotlight on: 1st National Enterprise in Special Education Conference

The 1st National Enterprise in Special Education Conference (NEiSE 09) will be held on Monday 9th November 2009 at the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel and Country Club in Manchester.

NEiSE 09 is a national celebration of Enterprising Learning, Teaching and Leadership in Special Education, showcasing practical strategies for raising the aspirations, achievements and attainments of every child with special educational needs through enterprise pedagogy and embedding an enterprise culture to meet the national enterprise education agenda.

The Conference is being hosted by Oakwood High School, a specialist Arts, Technology and Sports Special School in Salford.  Head Teachers, Senior Leaders, Enterprise Co-ordinators, SEN Coordinators and Teaching and Support staff in Secondary Schools, Special Schools and Academies are invited to learn from a range of key note speakers from the world of Enterprise Education, including the DCSF, QCA and Ofsted, and a ministerial speech.

Delegates will receive the very latest national enterprise education guidance, policies and strategies, and will have opportunities to speak with leading professionals, practitioners and specialists in enterprise education across a range of subjects, including over 100 enterprising teachers, support staff and students who are leading the programme.

A wealth of resources, information, advice and guidance will be available on the day to help schools respond to the national enterprise education agenda, including:
