Help for those interested in Business Ethics and Enterprise in Schools
If your school is interested in finding out more about business ethics and enterprise in schools the forthcoming BEES (Business Ethics and Enterprise in Schools) conference could provide you with the opportunity you are looking for.
The national conference which is open to primary and secondary schools across the UK offers delegates the opportunity to:
• Broaden their understanding of ethical businesses and co-operatives, their values and principles and ways that co-operative enterprise can be embedded into the school curriculum.
• Enhance understanding enterprise education through specific examples of excellent practice within schools, both primary and secondary
• Explore the role of social enterprises
• Explore innovative ways to engage effectively with employers.
Sponsored by the Co-operative in partnership with Wansbeck Enterprise Education Network and Benet Enterprises the conference will be held on the 25th June 2009 at the Sage Gateshead.
Delegates will be offered a selection of
workshops designed to share best practice and offer a perspective from
the schools point of view covering subjects including:
• Embedding enterprise in primary and secondary curriculum and how it
impacts positively on pupil’s attainment and experience of learning
• Engaging and stimulating young people with behavioural difficulties
• How to set up a social enterprise
There will be time to network with educationists and businesses from across the UK at the marketplace and an Enterprise Education resource kit will be provided to each delegate to help them put their ideas into practice.
