The 1st National Enterprise in Special Education Conference 2009
(NEISE) is taking place on Monday 9th November 2009, Marriott Worsley
Park Hotel, Country Club and Spa, Manchester.
Oakwood High School, a high performing specialist Arts, Technology and
Sports School is hosting the 1st national celebration of enterprise
education in special schools which will showcase its strategies,
resources, and exemplars for raising the attainment, achievements and
aspirations of every child with special educational needs through its
enterprise pedagogy, enterprising leadership, learning and teaching, and
an embedded enterprise culture.
This conference will offer you a unique opportunity to personalise your
own enterprise learning journey across over 40 workshops and 12
enterprise learning themes, and includes an opportunity to visit Oakwood
High School to learn more about the Oakwood enterprise experience.
Keynote speakers from the world of enterprise education will include the
DCSF, QCDA, and Ofsted, and there is a marketplace of national
providers of enterprise education resources to help your school to
respond to the national enterprise education agenda, including the
Enterprise Network, The Innovation School, UBIZEE, ABW Enterprise
Education, and The Co-operative College. You will receive the very
latest national enterprise education guidance, policies and strategies,
and will have opportunities to speak with leading professionals,
practitioners and specialists in enterprise education across a range of
specialist subjects including over 100 enterprising teachers, support
staff and students who are leading the programme. You will receive a
wealth of resources, information and advice to help your school respond
