TH!NK Social Enterprise Programme

TH!NK (formerly ShP for Enterprise) is a leading provider of fully managed social enterprise programmes for education offering ‘Challenge Day’ events to UK schools and academies.

TH!NK’s carefully developed enterprise programmes help support teachers and schools to introduce pupils to social entrepreneurs, citizenship and employability skills in a fun and engaging way.

To date, over 30,000 pupils have realised the benefits of social enterprise with TH!NK, formerly known as ShP for Enterprise - a leading European E-waste lifecycle management company.

With a growing need to act and live more sustainable for a greener future, ShP Limited has developed this educational tool to educate future generations by sharing its expertise to encourage social entrepreneurship and more sustainable lifestyles through educational activity.

The success of SHP for Enterprise to date has spurned the introduction of a new software platform: TH!NK. In addition the group have teamed up with some of the largest corporate groups in the UK to offer special enterprise challenge days based on their business models and industry.

The TH!NK project aims to engage students at the enterprise challenge days to think creatively and put their ideas into action. The whole day is centred around the development of a ‘green’ business plan for recycling electronic equipment culminating in a Dragons Den style presentation.

Benefits:
• Programmes cover KS2 and KK4 enterprise requirements in the national curriculum
• Business admin and finance and creative and media Diplomas
• Events help instil belief and ambition in pupils
• Provide education on environmental issues and a need for sustainability
• Enable pupils to develop necessary skills such as communication, teamwork, planning and confidence – essential for employment and life
• Events include elements from a range of curriculum subjects such as drama, geography, science, maths, art, and English
• TH!NK can offer schools the opportunity to turn their unwanted e-waste items into enterprise funds if their government budget cannot stretch to fund the day.
• Utilising parent recycling company ShP Limited, TH!NK will offer a price per item on all e-waste collected and then deduct this from the price of a day.
• This method is unique to TH!NK and helps Schools comply with EU WEEE Directives and responsible disposals of waste items.
• It’s zero cost to the school and helps further extend the key recycling message from the day.
