The National Council for Entrepreneurship (NCGE) have announced a brand new project aimed at developing entrepreneurship educators across Europe.
The recently formed European Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (3EP) is a new programme, aiming to introduce participants to entrepreneurship education throughout the European region. A €1 million Euro bid will be invested over a period of 38 months, to run development programmes that include a week long Summer School Academies, running in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
NCGE is the lead partner for the project which aims to deliver an economic, efficient and effective programme, ensuring value for money is delivered entirely throughout the 38 months duration.
The project is aimed at professionals of entrepreneurship education, who are looking for new ways of developing the entrepreneurial mindset of students. 3EP is designed for educators at higher education institutes. It will provide participants with a supported programme that will help to develop teaching approaches and create new materials to be incorporated into future work.
The project involves a residential summer school which will bring together educators from across Europe to share best practice in a guided learning programme.
Participants are also expected to undertake some work after the residential programme to gain a 3EP Fellowship.
Working in conjunction with NCGE, are Higher Education institutions in Demark, Finland and Croatia.
Together, the four partners will be responsible for the curriculum, and will collectively keep the content up-to-date and interesting, made possible through the strong international network of Europeans in the field of entrepreneurship. The participants on the programme will be an international mix, with a combination of teachers in Higher Education and researchers in the field of entrepreneurship. Participants will be encouraged to focus on individual development throughout 3EP.
3EP is the first European programme of its kind, and will aim to ensure the research and practice of entrepreneurship is reached by many throughout Europe.
