With the aim of creating and continuing new business ventures between the UK and China the competition will simulate the real-world process of entrepreneurs soliciting start up finds for early-stage investors and venture capital firms.
The competition organisers are looking for entrepreneurs and existing small businesses that are doing something innovative in their international links from their marketing delivery to imports form abroad. Entrants must effectively demonstrate how small companies can thrive across borders and cultures.
Student entrants will take part in the Tomorrow’s Leaders track of the competition while existing businesses will take part in Innovative Business. Thirty-two teams will be selected to participate in the competition for up to £9,500 in prizes in the national rounds, together with an investment opportunity of £250,000 for the grand international final.
The deadline for the Idea Assessment part of the competition is 26th February 2010, for more information on the competition and how you can take part visit: www.chinaukchallenge.com.
