A highlight of the conference is the presentation of papers by industry experts and this year a total of 216 papers are to be presented. The papers follow specific tracks and topics and offer those attending practical presentations and interactive debates on the key issues and policy implications in each theme.
Track A – Advancing entrepreneurship education and young enterprise includes the following selection of papers:
- Entrepreneurial Education needs Entrepreneurial Educators: Assessing our Performance written by Dr Andrew Penaluna of Swansea Metropolitan University responds to recent national and international discussions on the subject of entrepreneurship education and focuses on the views of lecturers who work ‘at the chalk face’
- Rediscovering Enterprise: Exploring Entrepreneurship for Undergraduates by Prof Simon Bridge visiting Professor NICENT aims to explore what entrepreneurship might mean for the promoters, funders and students of entrepreneurship education
- Good practice in embedding enterprise in schools by Mr David Gibson, Queen’s University Belfast explores good practice for enterprise education in primary and secondary schools
- The Role of Entrepreneurship Clubs and Societies in Entrepreneurial Learning by Dr Luke Pittaway, Georgia Southern University, US explores the impact of student entrepreneurship clubs and societies have on learning and how they simulate entrepreneurial learning
- From class room to the board room by Ms Nea Sarrienen of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Finland describes the successful model for international co-operation between Higher Education institutions and SME’s.
