December Edition

Welcome to the latest edition of EnterpriseUpfront, your bi-monthly e-zine for current developments in enterprise, bringing you the latest news, views and research. We’re now at the end of 2011 and what a fantastic year for enterprise it has been.

This month we take a look at the Rise To enterprise Challenge competition supported by IBM, MTV and Studentbeans.com, hear about the TSB enterprise awards and round up another successful year of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

We gain a further insight into the life of Grant Ridley Winner of the National Entrepreneur of the Year from Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, hear about government funding of £500,000 to help NACUE stimulate young enterprise, find out how to apply for Young Apprentice 2012 and look forward to The Global Entrepreneurship Congress in 2012.

Finally we learn how some trainee teachers at Edge Hill University in the north west of England, are using their entrepreneurial skills and experience to enable secondary students to develop their own enterprising skills.
