Make your Mark with a Tenner

As of 1st March 2011, Enterprise UK will be re launching their successful ‘Make Your Mark’ campaign and loaning £400,000 worth of ten pound notes to enterprising young people across the UK.

Year on year Enterprise UK have invited organisations and institutions from across the country to take part in a competition where, via a school, college or youth group, students are given a £10 note and are challenged to make as much profit and social impact as possible through enterprising activities.

This year the young entrepreneurs will have four weeks, between the 1st and 31st of March 2011, to be as enterprising as possible.

Once the challenge is over the students are asked to return the original £10 loan and keep or donate the profit they have made. Awards are offered to the young entrepreneurs who have the biggest social investment, deliver the highest financial return or the have best business idea. Previous years have seen profits of hundreds of pounds for those taking part as well as having a positive impact socially in local communities across the UK.

The campaign offers teachers and group leaders support to start the ball rolling and get students involved.
