Silicon Valley Comes to the UK

NACUE and Silicon Valley Comes to the UK (SVC2UK) have come together to take the student enterprise scene by storm this November!

SVC2UK will return this autumn to welcome iconic serial entrepreneurs and investors to take part in a series of events, aimed at inspiring students, alumni and potential entrepreneurs to re-write the rules and re-shape major industries from media and games, to education and healthcare industries. To be part of the prestigious programme and hold a Silicon Valley Comes 2 the UK event, student enterprise societies can take part in either three ways:

1. Organise a local SVC2UK enterprise event at your university and promote the national SVC2UK Appathon competition.

2. Send a delegation of ‘app developers’ to the regional Hack Day to represent your university in the national SVC2UK Appathon competition.

3. Host a SVC2UK Hack Day at your University!

Societies will bid to host these exclusive events and get the chance to join an invitation-only National SVC2UK event on 19th November in London’s Tech City. What’s more, the society who runs the best society event and the top Appathon winners will be invited to join a SVC2UK sponsored once-in-a-lifetime trip tour of Silicon Valley in 2012!

Societies can register their interest by 15th July 2011. For more information about this event, please contact Kar Teng at svc2uk@nacue.com.
